My Bio

Not for art, as it's all bollocks and pretension. Not for the future, because humans will piss that up against the wall, any wall. Nor for religion neither false or merely unaware of its own lies.

But because I like drawing naked people.

Finally got Daz Studio installed and running on wine again (phew!). Running Debian 12 and using wine staging Wine HQ repo version. I was beginning to fear I might have to install Windows. So I can finally run Iray renders and put together scenes with more than three Genesis figures. First time since end of March.

Ran a system update yesterday, Daz studio seems to be crashing rather often since the wine update. I got a render out using only two poser era figures (V3) but not managed to work with a Genesis 1 to 8 since without a crash, often when just loading a figure into the scene. This happens every couple of months when a particular wine release has an issue

After an update, Studio is malfunctioning on my system, keeps s slipping into a state where Content library stops being navigable and saving doesn't work. Makes making scenes a pain, I have to save after every operation and frequently close and relaunch. It'll probably be sorted in in an update or two, but this is one of the pitfalls in using a bleeding edge software distribution like Arch. It's happened before.

What does that mean?

That I'm a disillusioned cynic.

Most things by now. Cynicism is the carbon dating of the spirit.
